Heather Jacobs is the head coach of the UMass Boston women's basketball team, bringing nearly two decades of coaching experience to the Beacons, where she has won at every NCAA level and at every place she has coached.

Jacobs began her coaching career as an assistant at Norwich University, where she helped guide the team to school best of 24-4 record and the program's first NCAA Tournament appearance. She then became the head coach at Daniel Webster College, leading the team to a school-record of 20 wins, she was honored with coach-of the year awards, and a New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) regular-season title.

Her success at Daniel Webster led her to Adelphi University, NCAA Division II, where she spent six seasons as head coach. Under her leadership, Adelphi recorded four consecutive winning seasons, including NE-10 champions, with the highest national ranking of #3 through the WBCA.

Jacobs then moved on to NCAA Division I Wagner College, where she served as head coach for five seasons. During her tenure, she led the Seahawks to their first Northeast Conference (NEC) Tournament semifinal appearance in nearly two decades and one of the best seasons in program history. Jacobs' helped develop multiple All-NEC honorees. She played a crucial role in revitalizing the program, improving the team’s competitiveness, and instilling a strong defensive identity.
